Join Us In 52 Weeks Of Prayer

Each week during our prayer time we will highlight a specific group in our community (local law enforcement, schools, hospitals, military, government leaders, foster care/DCS, farmers, missionaries, etc.) as is an intentional way for our congregation to remain prayerful, outwardly focused, and unified as we intercede for our community and beyond.

This week in our 52-Week Prayer Focus, we are praying for farmers, agricultural workers, and the families whose lives and livelihoods are connected to agriculture.

Living in Indiana, agriculture is all around us. Many within our community farm, work in agriculture, or have family and friends who do. Their work helps feed our communities and provides resources that reach far beyond our own area.

As we move closer to harvest season, this is an especially important time to pray. Months of planting, tending, waiting, and hard work are approaching harvest, while so much remains outside anyone's control—from weather and crop conditions to equipment, markets, expenses, and safety.

This week, let's intentionally pray for the men and women who faithfully work the land and serve throughout the agricultural community.

🙏 How to Pray

🌾 Farmers & Agricultural Workers
Pray for farmers, farmhands, livestock producers, and everyone working throughout agriculture. Ask God to give them strength, endurance, wisdom, and encouragement through long and demanding days.

🌽 Crops & Harvest
Pray for healthy crops and a strong harvest. Ask God to provide favorable weather and good conditions as farmers prepare to bring in what has been planted and tended throughout the year.

🚜 Safety
Harvest brings long hours, heavy machinery, road travel, and increased risk. Pray for protection over farmers and agricultural workers in the fields, around equipment, on our roads, and wherever their work takes them.

💰 Financial Provision
Pray for families facing the financial pressures of farming. Ask God to provide through changing markets, rising expenses, equipment needs, unpredictable yields, and the many other financial uncertainties involved in agriculture.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Farm Families
Pray for the spouses, children, and families who share in the demands and sacrifices of agricultural life. Ask God to strengthen their homes, marriages, and relationships, especially during the long days of planting and harvest.

🌧 Dependence on God
Farming is a constant reminder that while we can plant, prepare, and work faithfully, there are many things we simply cannot control. Pray that farmers would experience God's provision and learn to trust Him through both abundant and difficult seasons.

✝ Salvation & Spiritual Growth
Pray that farmers and agricultural workers throughout our community would come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Pray for those who already know Christ to be strengthened in their faith and to reflect Jesus through their work, relationships, and communities.
